Lessons
I have grown up with a music teaching parent, and been teaching singing myself for the last 15 years, in Paris and then London.
I always start with a 1 hour free initial consultation, as I find it gives both me and the student a chance to assess the level and needs of each individual.
Lessons take place at my studio, which is right opposite Highgate tube London N6. Price is £40 per hour.
All levels and singing styles welcome, from complete beginners to professionals. I have worked with amateur and professional opera singers alike, and with many actors and dancers.
I believe that no matter what level or aspirations you have, you need to be taught to achieve a solid technique, the understanding of breath control and sound projection, and in such a way so you understand how to put it into practice – to perform and interpret a song.
Depending on a student’s level, I will concentrate on the different elements of breath control and projection, repertoire building, and help each one to the best of my ability, to acquire the necessary confidence and knowledge to advance and enjoy their singing.
My own inspiration for teaching comes for my teacher of 15 years, the renowned professor Vera Rozsa OBE, teacher of such singers as Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Sarah Walker, Ann Sophie Von-Otter, Enid Hartle, Dorathea Roschman, Tom Krause, Sir Thomas Allan, and Jonathan Lamalu amongst many others.
