Who am I?
Idit Arad, professional singing teacher and Opera singer, AGSM Diploma, Guildhall
School of Music and Drama.
What do I offer?
An hour of free private consultation giving us the chance to assess your level and needs together. Thereafter, singing lessons are 1 hour in length and take place at my home in Highgate, North London, N6 (2 minutes walk from Highgate tube station), at a cost of £40 per hour.
All levels and singing styles welcome, from complete beginners to professionals. I offer performance technique workshops and organise student concerts.
What are my mottos?
I believe that no matter what level and aspirations you have, you need to be
taught to achieve a solid technique, the understanding of breath control
and sound projection, and in such a way so you understand how to put it
into practice – to perform and interpret a song.
What are my credentials?
I have taught many professional/amateur opera singers, dancers and actors over
the last 15 years in London and Paris. I hold an Associate Diploma in
singing and singing teaching from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
I have been taught for 15 years by Vera Rozsa OBE, teacher of such singers as
Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Sarah Walker, Sir Thomas Allan, Jonathan Lamalu
amongst many. I have recently released a new solo CD with Meridian Records
(July 2006) and performed with many Opera companies and Orchestras and given
recitals in the UK, Spain, France, Israel and the US. My most recent Operatic Role was the lead role of Antigone in the Burial at Thebes, a new Opera by Dominique le Gendre, in Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, London.
